John Frieda Luxurious Volume Range

We all have hair issues, unless you're Kate Middleton obviously. Thin, flat hair has always been my own personal problem and I'm pretty much continuously on the look out for that ideal product that will pump up the volume a bit. I've tried plenty of things but have been less than satisfied with them all, until that is I was sent the John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo, Conditioner and Blow-Out Spray to try out.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Range

In the past I've used the John Frieda Blonde range and always liked that so I had high hopes for these and was not disappointed.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Shampoo
First up, the Touchably Full Shampoo, for fine hair, claiming to "cleanse without stripping for a natural look and feel". I've been using a colour protect shampoo for my first rinse (as I recently dyed my hair red), then for my second rinse I use this for that all important added volume and I find that because of how gentle the Luxurious Volume shampoo is, my colour has not been affected, which is always a worry when using hair products that are not specifically designed for colour treated hair.

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Conditioner
I then use the Touchably Full conditioner which "detangles while conditioning for a natural look and feel". I like that the conditioner doesn't weigh my hair down- this is a HUGE gripe for me with most volume-enhancing hair products, you often get the added body but at the expensive of having too much product on fine, thin hair which can often convert to limp strands within a couple of hours post drying. Thankfully, I haven't found that with this and if anything, it's held up surprisingly well during our heatwave recently, which is possibly the best test of all!

John Frieda Luxurious Volume Fine to Full Blow-Out Spray
Lastly, I use the Fine to Full Blow-Out Spray which "creates natural fullness for the look and feel of more hair". What I like about this, is again the lightness of the product- it's intended use is to spray it from root to tip, in spite of this there's no greasiness and the hair doesn't feel loaded down with product. Generally, any volumising products for "towel dried" hair that I've used have only focused on the roots- mousse etc so it's refreshing to find something that takes care of ALL of your hair, as lets face it, I want that super bouncy Kate Middleton look all over, not just at my roots!

I should also mention how amazing these smell- fresh yet pretty, kind of an apple-y scent. Lovely.
The Luxurious Volume range is available now from Dunnes Stores, Superquinn, Super Value and selected pharmacies nationwide. The shampoo, conditioner and spray are all a very reasonable 6.31 euro each so if you're looking for a full set of hair care products for limp locks that actually work but you're on a budget, I would definitely recommend these.
Has anyone else tried the Luxurious Volume Range? If not, what's your own personal hair gripe?! (Share with me, we'll all feel better for it ;)

  2. These are in the post to me at the moment and I'm really looking forward to trying them. So glad to hear that they don't weigh your hair down - major pet peeve with volumising products as it completely defeats the purpose!

    1. I know, it's so annoying! Really hard to find volumising products that don't do that though, isn't it? x
