NOTD: Essie Barefoot and Topless

This was the shade used for my wedding pedicure- I wore open-toed polka dot turquoise shoes so this was the perfect colour to compliment them. It's an unusual shade- a kind of pinky/grey. I used two coats with a Rimmel top coat and it just looks so great on.

Please excuse my horrendous cuticles in this photo

I was worried I might end up with "mannequin hands" because it is quite nude but it just looks so pretty- a really classic colour that goes with everything. Also, I was seriously impressed with the formula- I've previously reviewed Essie's Ballet Slippers and while I loved that colour, it took 3-4 coats to get opacity and even then it was still quite streaky. Each coat of this dried straight away without streaking and it only needed 2 coats to be perfect. Chipping time was two to three days but only on a few nails, some of them stayed perfect for a week. Apart from being a good classic nude colour to have I think this'll also be fairly perfect for Summer on tanned toes.

*begins feverishly praying for Summer to make an appearance this year*
