I'm not a Mac eyeshadow fanatic by any means but when I recently spotted these newly released Pearlfusion palettes, I fell a little bit in love with Greenluxe. Described as containing "shades of light peach, bright champagne with pearl, dark olive, blackened green with gold pearl and deep forest green with pearl" this is definitely my cup of tea. I've seen other reviewers mention that this isn't quite as "green"as they had expected from a palette with said colour in the title but for me, it's actually the perfect way to wear what can often be a youthful shade, in a sophisticated way.
These are cream shadows that can be worn either dry or wet, so far I've only worn them dry and I find them to be quite intense as they are so worn wet, I'd imagine they'll pop that bit more on the eyes. As you can see, I already used this before I could photograph it, such was my love for it and because I've worn them every day for the last two weeks already I've made a small dent in the bottom three shades. I particularly love that bottom shade, which apparently is akin to Mac Club. I also love that top peach shade (great as a highlighter too) and the middle champagne shadow, often just wearing both on their own as they're very pretty and flattering on. The only one I'm not hugely fond of is the second shade down, possibly because it's too sparkly for my liking but I do wear it for a little shot of gold in the inner corner of the eye. On that note, these are very shimmery so if you're a matte lover then these aren't for you.
Apologies for the terrible photo, my lighting was awful today

With flash.
Trying to capture the iridescence of the colours on camera was surprisingly difficult. I hope these help a little bit! There are five other palettes available, in Pastelluxe, Brownluxe, Pinkluxe, Smokeluxe and Blueluxe, so there should be something for everyone.
These are 40 euro and available on counters now.
What do you think of the Pearlfusion palettes? Any of them taking your fancy?

I was very close to buying this last week, I'm kinda raging I didn't get it now.
ReplyDeleteI think it's worth it, really good colours for Autumn/Winter and I'd say they're pretty wearable on most skin tones.
DeleteOh these look lovely, I love shimmery eye shadows x
ReplyDeleteMe too! i think they suit me better anyway :) x
DeleteGorgeous look. Love the autumn friendly colours!
ReplyDeleteThanks Gaelle! I love Autumn colours too, really looking forward to wooly coats and winter boots again! :)
DeleteThank you for such a kind comment! I love the way you have described this palette, the colours are beautiful I hope it's still available in oct for my birthday :-) Lv these mermaid colours x
ReplyDeleteThanks Christina! I'd say it will still be available, I haven't heard that they're selling out anyway. Well worth a look at the other shades too, all very pretty! xx
DeleteI really love those shades of green, this one, the smoke one and the brown one are all pretty I think. I have the purple but it's not really a colour I wear so I don't get much use from it xo
ReplyDeleteI must take a better look at the smoke luxe one. To be honest, I saw them on the stand and made a beeline for the green one only- little bit of a lifelong love for green eyeshadow :) x
DeleteOh my.... I must have!!! I think Greenluxe is the nicest palette of them all! I must add this to my "wish list"!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beauty, shame about the glitter thing like you were saying though :( x
DeleteI've been trying to decide which palette I want and now I think it will be the green one. The second colour with the glitter will be fun to use at Christmas time.
ReplyDeleteIt just stood out to me! I really liked a few of the other ones too but I have a bit of a soft spot for green in general :)
