17 Metallic eyes

During one of my regular rummages around my local Boots, I came upon these 17 "Wild Metallic Eyes", cream shadows for 6.19 euro each. I love metallic greens as they tend to go well with blue eyes so I was particularly drawn to "Wild Green", a sort of sparkly khaki. While there I decided to pick up "Wild Nude" (imaginative names), a sparkly taupe- handy for layering with other shades. They come in a couple of other colours as well and are all housed in these little plastic pots:

I don't think these are that long lasting, unlike a product like Chanel's Illusion d'Ombre, which tend not to crease and don't need reapplication, these definitely do, but then again they'll only set you back 6.19, so how bad. Here they are swatched, without and with flash:

  1. I like the looks of the Wild nude one. Do you think they'd make good eyeshadow bases? I believe Maybelline makes some similar products, but I have not tried them, as they're quite costy!

    1. I wore the wild nude one out last night with my Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Illusoire to shade and it looked really well!! Even the bf told me my make up looked great so you know it's good if a man notices! Definitely good for an eyeshadow base, it actually applied really well on, much better than I expected for that price. Do you mean the Maybelline 24 hr colour tattoo? The taupe colour in that looks great but it always sold out in Boots when I go in. Grr.

  2. Ooh that green one looks gorgeous, see, this is why I can't allow myself to go into Boots "just for a look", I'd be stoney broke!
